The Rewards of Mining: Trilium and NFT Cards

More than 2.1 million Explorers have become Miners in the Metaverse since December 22, 2020.

One thing that miners have in common is their love for mining Trilium and NFTs.

Rewards: Trilium

Trilium (token symbol TLM) is the Alien Worlds in-game currency, designed to incentivise Explorers to play core games in the Alien Worlds Metaverse. In addition, Trilium must be staked to participate in governance of the Planets. Explorers engage with Trilium through mining.

The Trilium payout from mining is determined by the % of the Planet’s mining Current Mining Pot at time of mine awarded to miner = (Sum of Trilium Mining Power percentages of the Tools NFTs) * Trilium Mining Power Multiplier of the Land NFT.

How do I get Trilium and tools or other NFT game cards from mining?
How do I see the live Planetary Pot data?

Planetary Pots can be watched with live data, but mining at exactly the right time is tricky, if not impossible. Yet, watching the levels of Planetary Pots can give miners a sense of which Planets might yield the most Trilium at any given time.

Note: If you are mining 0.0005 Trilium or less, please contact Support via the Support Bubble located in the Explorers’ Station. You may want to have your Bag checked to make sure it wasn’t flagged as a Bot Miner, accidentally.

Rewards: NFT Game Cards

The amount of NFT game cards paid out is either to get 1 NFT per mine, or none. The chance of getting an NFT is determined in two stages:

Stage 1: % chance of clearing stage 1 = (sum of Luck percentages of Tools NFTs) * Luck Multiplier of Land
Stage 2: Mine actions that clear stage 1 are run through percent probabilities to determine the Rarity of the NFT paid out. There is also a null category with a probability attached, in which no NFT is paid out, even if the mine attempt clears stage 1.

Many Explorers have noticed that their NFT drops have been fewer lately. There are three primary reasons for these changes:

Once released, official NFT game card information is kept on the official sheet linked from the Technical Blueprint. Although many community sheets, tools and sites have NFT game card information, the definitive source is the sheet linked from the Technical Blueprint. It does change from time to time, so checking the original sheet is advised, if the latest and correct information is desired.

Getting Mining Rewards

Claiming Trilium

Trilium can be earned and claimed within the Mining Hub at play.alienworlds.io. Read more about how to play and claim Trilium here.

Claiming NFT Game Cards

In order to receive your NFT game cards, you will need to manually claim them. They will be waiting until you do. To manually claim the NFTs on bloks.io, please go to this link on wax.bloks.io and use the “claimnfts” action. Read more about how to do this here.

Note; One reason you may not see your NFT game cards is if you are not claiming them. Recently, the Federation changed the way that Explorers receive their NFT game cards. Rather than use excessive amounts of RAM, creating pressures on the WAX galaxy, the Federation has adjusted the wormhole. Now, Explorers go to their accounts on the blockchain and click the Claim button. Explorers are often thoughtful and will be glad to know that they can claim NFT game cards for others, while preserving them in their own accounts.

Finding Commemorative NFT Rewards

Commemorative NFT Rewards are sent directly into miners’ bags and can be found in their WAX accounts. They are often sent daily or weekly instead of with each mine. Commemorative NFTs do not need to be claimed.

Community Rewards

Community Promotions

Explorer communities have been critical to the launch and growth of the Metaverse. Without communities welcoming and situating Explorers after leaving Earth, starting in 2055, most would be simply mining and missing a legendary part of the Metaverse.

Many communities host promotions and events for miners mining on particular lands, giving away commemorative community NFTs, as well as well-known and also artist NFTs, depending on the promotion.

Alien Worlds now has a Communities section of the Explorers’ Station where you can peruse Explorer communities and find mining promotions that might interest you during your travels.
